Bank managers are making a fortune by converting black money holders money. Each manager is making at least 10-15 crores for just converting black money. Even if they are caught, their money goes nowhere and they are rich enough to survive for the next few generations. Firstly, thanks to Modiji for bringing in demonetisation. But do we know that actually people are finding various ways to convert their black money into white?
1. Easiest approach now we hear everywhere is with 40% cut. Guys with black money ask people to deposit 1lakh into their account and return 60K in cash.
2. Private banks are creating duplicate accounts in the bank and depositing money. The money can be withdrawn easily.
3. People are buying gold from jewelers who are accepting old notes. In some cases they even take a cut for converting.
4. Lot of people don't even know how a 2000 rupee note looks like, so duplicates are in circulation.

How we can curb this:
1. Have a thorough check when people are depositing money, look at their income, past transactions etc so that it can be audited easily.
2. Have a check on the accounts created in private banks whether all the accounts are legitimate i.e has valid proof and belongs to an individual.
3. Make currency detector machines affordable so that every business owns that and we can have kiosks for these too.
